Ah, the start of spring. The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and the weather is finally as warm as we'd like it to be. And yes, spring cleaning is important for a fresh slate — but at the start of any season, I also find myself doing some shopping to set myself up for the coming months.

As a San Francisco resident who works from home as senior director of special projects, my days are spent balancing a job I'm passionate about, prioritizing my mental and physical wellness, and spending lots of time with family and friends. That looks like working out every day (I can't live without hot yoga classes and going on runs through my beautiful city), leaning into a personal style that makes me feel most myself, and spending as much time outside as humanly possible with the people I love. Oh, yes, and a good dose of retail therapy from time to time.

After doing a little spring cleaning of my closet and makeup bag, I made some room for new styles and products that bring me joy and keep me feeling refreshed day in and out. From the perfect slouchy jeans to sneakers that hold up on long walks, here are the products that are on rotation in my daily routine this season and beyond.

Lena Felton's Shopping Must Haves

Rosebud Perfume Co. Lip Balm in Strawberry ($9)

My friends know that this lip balm has been a must have of mine for literally more than 10 years. It's the only balm that keeps my lips soft and supple for hours on end, and I love the strawberry scent — delicious for spring.

Farmacy Bright On Daily AHA Foam Exfoliator ($38)

If any step in my skin-care routine feels like spring, it's definitely this one. I've been using Farmacy's AHA Foam Exfoliator for the past couple of months, and it's become a staple before bed. The foam glides like silk over my skin, then leaves it feeling clean and looking brighter. I love the citrus-y scent, too.

Ranger Station Santalum Candle ($39)

I've been a fan of Ranger Station's Santalum Candle ever since I walked into one of my favorite restaurant's bathrooms and this candle was burning, filling the entire bathroom with the most intoxicating smell. I took a photo of the candle and immediately bought it, and now it fills my bathroom with that same aura. I light it whenever I want to feel most myself, and it burns through spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Athleta Forever Fleece High Rise Jogger ($62, originally $89)

San Francisco is notoriously chilly when it's foggy out (which is a lot, even during summer), and I've been looking for the perfect sweats to wear to and from my workouts. Enter: these super soft joggers. Paired with the matching Forever Fleece Full Zip ($70, originally $99), it's the perfect post-gym look.

Thirdlove TempSync Adjustable Sports Bra ($78)

I've also been loving Thirdlove's TempSync sports bra for workouts. It uses technology to help regulate body temperature and offers a ton of support but is also very comfortable; it's one of those sports bras that I forget I'm wearing, which is always a sign of success.

Glossier You Soie Eau du Parfum ($82)

I love switching up my daily fragrance when the seasons change, and I've been wearing this new launch from Glossier practically every day. If you've ever worn the brand's perfumes, you know that they're subtle but impactful, almost universally appealing. This one's no different, and I can't get enough of the sexy, somehow fresh pairing of rice milk and jasmine.

Nike V5 RNR Sneaker ($95)

A good pair of sneakers is an absolute must to walk up San Francisco's famous hills. These classic Nikes in white/black/grey metallic are super cushy and also look a little more elevated, thanks to the silver detailing.

Baggu Recycled Leather Bowler Bag ($95, originally $190)

I've always loved Baggu's nylon crossbody bags, and their recycled leather line takes their trendy silhouettes to a new level. The size of this bowler bag is ideal: I can fit my phone, sunscreen, sunglasses, a film camera, lip gloss, and more in it, but it's compact and easy to carry around. The Loden color is a shade of leafy green very much fit for spring.

Feners Susurro Blush Top ($109)

Although fashion is super casual in San Francisco (jeans and a cropped T-shirt are my go-to), it's still a major way I like to express myself. In particular, I'll reach for something more unique when it comes to trying out a new restaurant with my partner or hitting a wine bar with friends. I love the unique prints from Feners, and this Susurro top is very cool. All the colorful options are perfect for spring.

Jewels and Aces the One & Only Set in Silver ($221)

My earscapes have become a way to express myself, but I always get lazy and end up wearing the same several pairs day after day. After seeing Jewels and Aces' earring sets on Instagram, I knew I needed to try them, and I love how versatile this one is. You can mix and match studs, jackets, and chains to create different looks every day, so you're basically getting dozens of different earscapes in one set.

Rails Belmont Arc Jean ($238)

If there's anything I always feel good spending my money on, it's a good pair of denim. It's basically a given for any San Francisco outfit, and Rails has been my treat-yourself brand for the past few months. This pair are unbelievably soft and the perfect amount of baggy, but they somehow retain a structured look. The Authentic Stone wash is light and lived in, and pairs perfectly with a white tank. I've been reaching for the Embrace Ribbed Bra Top ($70), which is ultra-comfy and has built-in padding.
