Alan Carr has spoken about his iconic feud with Paloma Faith, after the pals fell out during their stint on Celebrity Traitors.

The funnyman, 49, spoke to Olivia Attwood on her Olivia’s House podcast about the now-legendary series, in which he 'murdered' his pal - leading to a fracas.

Speaking to the Love Island star during his appearance alongside fellow funnyman Lee Peart, he said: 'Me and Paloma didn't have a fall-out but she was p**sed off and I would be p**sed off. In between we're both right, the really nice thing is...

'Before we were showbiz friends but since we've come out we're on the phone all the time. When I cried at the end, I felt so bad as a person....

'When I murdered her and gave her the lily  then I came downstairs, I was so happy. She came down to breakfast and I went, ‘Oh, it hasn’t worked.’ Half an hour later we’re shoving her in a f**king coffin.'

During Thursday's instalment of the hit BBC game show, the singer, 44, had her fate sealed when the lid on her coffin was slammed shut during a dramatic mission and she was carried away, effectively ending her time in the competition

Lee added that people 'forget it's for charity'.

Speaking about how and why he enjoyed the show so much, he said: 'Imagine a castle full of celebrities and they’re being murdered one by one!

He said: 'I really got into lying when I was on the show... I enjoyed the lie. I'm not a liar. [When my agent got the call], I love murder murder mysteries, I love Poirot, I love Agatha Christie, I love Jessica Fletcher.'

'For me, I was fulfilling my 13-year-old, 14-year-old, stuck in a castle with celebrities and them being murdered one by one.'

I'll never be in anything so iconic, so zeitgeist-, I could walk down the street, if I'm being a d**k, people are like "Alan, Alan, what's it like!" I'll never be in anything that big.'

After the series aired, Paloma was said to be fuming after becoming the first celebrity to be murdered on the newest series of Celebrity Traitors.

During Thursday's instalment of the hit BBC game show, the singer, 44, had her fate sealed when the lid on her coffin was slammed shut during a dramatic mission and she was carried away, effectively ending her time in the competition.

It comes after fans were left in uproar after Alan Carr, 49, (pictured) murdered his best pal Paloma. He had to murder a faithful by using the pollen of a poison lily and touching someone's face

But while the scenes made for gripping television, sources claim the star wasn't quite as composed off-camera.

A source told The Mirror: 'She threw a wobbly afterwards about being the first to go.

'Some players just shrug it off when they leave, but Paloma was fuming when she discovered who had betrayed her. She couldn't work out what had actually happened, and when she found out the details, it only made her feel worse.

'Paloma is loud and wears her heart on her sleeve - it's fair to say that she wasn't happy with going home first.'

After being murdered, Paloma called the experience 'up and down', admitting it was nerve-wracking knowing her larger-than-life personality made her an easy target.

She said: 'I knew that I couldn't fade into the background. I'm the sort of person that lets my feelings about people be known by talking a lot, so it was never an option for me to be able to quietly just simmer under the surface.

She further quipped: 'I don't think my technique was great in this game, but it works very well in real life.'

Saying she'd have made a great Traitor, she added: 'I feel like it was a big fashion mistake not to see me in the cloak.'

When asked who she would like to see triumph in the game, Paloma said she'd like to see someone 'kind and strategic' to win - like Nick Mohammed.

Less generously, when finding out those responsible for her demise, she seethed: 'I'm happy to lose them as friends.'

Hitting out at pal Alan, 49, Paloma added to Traitors podcast, Uncloaked: 'I don’t think it was very nice, I still maintain to this day that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that.'So I don’t think he should have done it to me and I’m surprised that he did.'
