Gabby Logan made an appearance with her rarely-seen daughter Lois Maya Logan as they attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year on Thursday.

The Welsh TV host, 52, dazzled in a sequinned gold gown and strappy heels as she posed next to Lois, 20,  on the red carpet, ahead of the annual ceremony in Manchester.

The mother and daughter duo were joined by Gabby's husband and ex Scottish rugby player Kenny, 53.

Lois - who is a former student at Loughborough University - stunned in a sparkling sequinned black dress and a pair of glam pink stiletto heels.

Later on during the star-studded photocall, the former rhythmic gymnast was rubbed shoulders with former Lioness Alex Scott and broadcaster Claire Balding.

The trio eventually reunited on stage during the ceremony as they hosted the event.

Rory McIlroy won Sport Personality of the Year, capping off an incredible 2025 in which he won the Masters in dramatic fashion and helped Europe to the Ryder Cup

The Northern Irishman ended his long-running snub of the prestigious award ceremony to see off competition from England rugby star Ellie Kildunne, who finished second in the public vote, and F1 world champion Lando Norris, who completed the top three.

Rory, 36, was in attendance at BBC Sport headquarters at MediaCity in Salford and had been hot favourite with bookmakers to take home the prize.

He completed the career Grand Slam by winning in Augusta in April before spearheading Luke Donald's brilliant team at Bethpage Black five months later.

He dedicated his award to his wife and daughter, saying: '2025 has been the year I made my dream come true, from Augusta to the Ryder Cup and everything else in between.

'My wife Erica, my daughter Poppy – they’re what holds me together, my rock. They couldn’t be here tonight, they’re back in America but I can't wait to get back to see them tomorrow and celebrate with them. Thank you for your support and everything you’ve done for me.'

His victory is a significant moment for his sport and he is the first golfer to scoop the award since Sir Nick Faldo in 1989.

He is only the third golfer to win SPOTY after Faldo and Welshman Dai Rees, who finished first in 1957.

In March, Gabby shared why she did not want to have sex with her husband Kenny due to health struggles.

The ex Stirling County wing has been married to the Final Score icon with the pair having two children together, Lois, and her twin brother Reuben.

But she revealed her initial concerns that going through the menopause would have an adverse effect on her sex life with her partner.

She explained that she was able to address the problems thanks to the use of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).

According to the NHS, menopause symptoms can include hot flushes, mood swings and low mood.

The presenter told The Sun: 'My libido was definitely affected by the menopause and perimenopause.

'I found I didn't want to have sex with my husband as much, and it felt like something I was going to have to do even if I didn't really want to.'
