Ryan Gosling was spotted enjoying a rare family outing with wife Eva Mendes and their children in sunny Montecito following their move out of Hollywood.
The actor, 45, appeared relaxed as he stepped out alongside Mendes, 51, and their two daughters, Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, nine, on Wednesday afternoon.
Dressed casually in a baseball cap, jeans and boots, Gosling kept close to his family as they moved between parked cars and strolled through the upscale neighborhood.
Mendes, who has largely stepped back from acting in recent years, opted for a laid-back look in neutral tones and tall leather boots, smiling as she interacted with her children.
One of their little girls carried a shopping bag from the Los Angeles-based fashion brand Clare V., known for its chic handbags, apparel and accessories.
The sighting marked a rare public appearance for the famously private couple, who have long worked to keep their personal life out of the spotlight.
The outing comes as Gosling splits his time between the U.S. and the U.K., where he has been filming the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter in London.

Mendes and their daughters have reportedly joined him abroad, embracing a quieter lifestyle overseas.
'They love the laid-back lifestyle in London,' a source told Radar Online. 'It's easy for them to move around unrecognized there.'
According to insiders, the family has been living in an exclusive enclave popular with A-listers, with neighbors said to include the likes of Harry Styles, Jude Law and Emma Thompson.
The couple's low-key approach to fame has only fueled speculation in recent months that they are preparing to renew their vows, though any celebration would be firmly kept under wraps.
'The wedding won't be grand or large-scale,' an insider said of the rumored plans. 'That's not their style. But they want to celebrate this new chapter of their lives as a couple.'
The Daily Mail has reached out to the couple's representatives, but have not heard back, at this time.
Gosling and Mendes, who fell in love while filming The Place Beyond the Pines in 2012, have always guarded the details of their relationship.
The couple went public with their relationship when they were spotted putting on a loved-up display together at Disneyland, going on to make their red carpet debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2012.

Mendes stepped away from acting in 2014 when the pair welcomed their first child, going on to focus on other business ventures, including fashion and homeware collaborations and writing her new children's book, Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries.
In September, she admitted she has no plans to return to the silver screen any time soon, after reaching a 'career high' by working alongside her husband.
Mendes later appeared to confirm their marital status in 2022 when she casually referred to Gosling as her 'husband' during a television interview, delighting fans who had long suspected the couple had tied the knot in private.
Last year, Mendes offered a rare glimpse into their marriage, candidly admitting that Gosling makes her feel 'real f****** sexy,' despite her own insecurities.
'The way my man looks at me is just… at times I'm like, "Oh my God,"' she said in an interview with The Times, explaining that much of her confidence comes from the way Gosling treats her.
'I've never considered myself beautiful, but I've always felt very sexy,' the mother-of-two explained.

In 2023, Mendes interacted with an Instagram follower who expressed wanting to get a glimpse of the couple on the red carpet of an upcoming awards show together.
'We don’t do those things together. Like these photos I’ve been posting, I'm only comfortable posting because it’s already out there,' she explained. ''By "not comfortable", I mean exposing our very private life that we value.'
Three years prior, Mendes wrote on Instagram: 'I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I'll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life.'
During a 2023 interview with GQ, Gosling discussed parenthood with Mendes, and sweetly gushed that before meeting her, 'I was looking for her, you know?' adding that 'it all makes sense now.'
He also revealed that he relies on his partner during challenging moments raising their girls.
'I just lean on Eva. She knows what’s important, always. She just somehow knows. So if ever I’m in my head about it, I just ask her,' he shared.
Gosling admitted that before meeting his partner, 'I wasn’t thinking about kids,' but, 'after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her.'
The La La Land star continued, 'And there were moments on The Place Beyond The Pines where we were pretending to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to be pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have.'

In October, Gosling turned heads while picking up their daughters from school in Hampstead, leaving local moms swooning.
A Hampstead local said at the time: 'Yes, he's here and so delightful chatting to everyone at the school gate – such a lovely man.
'And everyone can't stop talking about how good looking he is, the mums are practically drooling over him.'
Another local revealed on Instagram's Threads that the actor had held a door open for them: 'Today's unexpected adventure, Ryan Gosling holding the door open for me at a cafe in West Hampstead. What a gent!... Quite unexpected really!'
