A telling sign has emerged that Lachie Neale and wife Jules' marriage may be in serious trouble.
The freelance hair stylist is no longer following her AFL star husband, 32, on Instagram – although he is still following her account.
Even more tellingly, earlier this week Jules shared a gallery of photos to the platform celebrating their son Freddie's first birthday, without tagging or mentioning Lachie at all.
The last time the pair featured on each other's pages was in a shared post from November 10, in which they showcased their holiday at a Perth resort.
The couple, who have two children together, were married in November 2018, before they moved to Brisbane when Neale was traded from Fremantle to the Lions.
According to a source close to The Herald Sun, the couple are 'working through' a bump in their relationship, which was described as a 'private matter'.

The outlet added that Jules may have also returned home to Perth.
Neale has featured on Jules' Instagram only a handful of times in recent months.
In November, the family had travelled to Palm Beach on the Gold Coast to enjoy a holiday with family and friends.
The couple celebrated their son Freddie's first birthday two days ago.
However, Jules did not include a picture of Lachie in any of the images from the celebration.
She wrote: 'Turning one today. This little man, and his beautiful big sister have taught me what real love, courage, and joy look like.
'You're the sweetest soul Freddie bear. Thank you for choosing me, for holding me up without even knowing it.
'I'm so lucky to be your mumma and I love you beyond words x.'

The dual premiership winner, who guided Brisbane to back-to-back titles in September, had heaped praise on his wife earlier this year.
'Jules does an amazing job,' Neale told The Courier Mail.
'I'm just so thankful to have her by my side.
'She allows me to fulfil both my role on the field and at home, working on my football craft and all the added extras that come with a leadership role.
'She's the reason I am able to do what I do while she holds down the fort at home. '
After winning his second Brownlow Medal back in 2023 Neale had also described Jules as 'his rock'.
