One of the stars of The Big Bang Theory revealed in a new interview that they regularly perform surprising acts of charity for people they have no connection to.
While speaking about his new film, Christmas Karma, Kunal Nayyar admitted to The i Paper that he has a habit of paying off 'random families’ medical bills.'
The 44-year-old British actor — who played Raj Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory — shared that money doesn't 'weigh heavy' on him after his years working on the hit CBS series, which reportedly paid him around $1 million per episode in later seasons.
'Money has given me greater freedom and the greatest gift is the ability to give back, to change people’s lives,' Nayyar — whose new Christmas movie has received scathing reviews — told the publication.
He and his wife, the one-time Miss India champion and fashion designer Neha Kapur, don't limit their charitable spending to just medical bills.
According to Nayyar, they also help bolster funds for college scholarships that are intended for students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

'We also support animal charities because we love dogs,' Nayyar added.
'But what I really love to do is go on GoFundMe at night and just pay random families’ medical bills,' he shared. 'That’s my masked vigilante thing!'
Nayyar added with a smile: 'So, no, money doesn’t feel like a burden. It feels like a grace from the universe.'
His act of charity was fitting after he starred in Christmas Karma, a Bollywood-inspired adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Nayyar stars as Eshaan Sood, a British Indian businessman modeled on Ebenezer Scrooge, who fires most of his business' staff on Christmas Eve, just before he's visited by ghosts hoping to show him the error of his ways.
While speaking to The i Paper, Nayyar urged others to find their own ways to help the less fortunate.
'Right now people are not happy because we are all expecting someone else to be kind,' he said. 'We are expecting a president or a politician, some leader, to come and bring us world peace.
'But there is no world peace if your neighbor comes to your door wanting some sugar for their tea, and you lock it against them and say, "Get away."'

Nayyar said he hoped people who saw his new film would be inspired by the message of Dickens' immortal tale: 'That no one is going to come and change the world for you. You have to do it for yourself.'
He shares his habit of making random GoFundMe users' dreams come true with Taylor Swift.
In October of this year, the hitmaker made an incredible $100,000 donation to a two-year-old girl named Lilah, who is battling a 'very rare' and 'aggressive form of brain cancer,' according to a GoFundMe page set up for her.
While some critics were initially suspicious of the donation, as the girl's family appeared to be fans of Swift, her mother subsequently told TMZ they had never been in contact with Swift before the donation was made.
Subsequently, Taylor's friend Ruby Rose confirmed that she had witnessed Swift's generosity firsthand.
'LOL. [Swift] used to scroll GoFundMe like a social media app, clicking "reach their donation" like the "like" button,' Rose wrote on Threads.
