The Love Island stars in a race to crack America:  Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Maura Higgins and Olivia Attwood are all vying for Hollywood careers - but who will come out on top?

In the peak of its popularity, Love Island catapulted contestants to superstardom and the show went on to be watched across the world.

One place it was really loved was America, and it would seem some Love Islanders are now capitalising on its popularity there. 

Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Maura Higgins and Olivia Attwood have all been making bids to move their careers stateside in recent years. 

Maura was the first to feature on US screens when she joined Love Island USA as a social media ambassador, soon becoming a guest host for the Love Island Games and then the main host of spin-off Aftersun.

Next to make the US move was Ekin, who made an appearance on the US version of The Traitors and soon after featured in Netflix's Inside USA. 

Olivia has also spent a lot of time in the US filming her various ITV shows and she was also out there earlier this year working on a 'secret project'.

But with Hollywood reportedly coming knocking, which Love Islander will win the race to crack America once and for all? 

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu 

Ekin-Su, 31, starred in a Turkish TV series and soap opera before winning series eight of Love Island with ex-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti in 2022. 

Back in summer, Ekin signed with American influencer agency Ingenuity Live in a hit she is focusing on US work. 

Discussing her Ingenuity Live signing at the time, Ekin said it was 'just the beginning' of her journey to taking her career global. 

Now, according to Deadline, Ekin has signed with a further two US agencies amid her bid to crack America once and for all. 

Ekin has already made a start at cracking America after appearing in the second season of The Traitors US and more recently The Sidemen's Netflix reality show Inside USA. 

Her US ambitions continue as she will now reportedly by managed by Atlas Entertainment - an American film financing and production company.

And she will be represented globally by WME (William Morris Endeavor) - a US-based agency whose clients include Ben Stiller, Emma Stone and Kim Kardashian.

WME and Atlas said of her signing that Ekin has 'millions of dedicated fans across the UK, U.S. and Middle East' and they will focus on pushing her into the scripted, hosting and brand entertainment world.

Meanwhile Ekin herself said of the huge new opportunity: 'Signing with WME and Atlas Entertainment is a monumental step for me. 

'I'm genuinely excited for this new chapter, working with two world-class teams who believe in my long-term vision across acting, entertainment, and global storytelling. 

'From London to Los Angeles and beyond, this next phase feels like the true beginning of where I'm meant to be.' 

Back in September, while speaking to The Sun, Ekin revealed she was moving away from reality TV as she said: 'I'm just keeping everything hush right now, everyone's onto me, but yeah, it's good.

'I'm not against reality, it's where I came from, but I think it's good to go back to my roots now with more scripted stuff.'

Ekin-Su went on to say that she has upcoming plans to spend a month in America and dreams of making it big in Hollywood. 

'[Cracking America] is always everyone's dream to make it in Hollywood, but we know in reality, it's not easy. One day... manifestation... it's true,' she added. 

Maura Higgins 

Maura has been a regular feature of Love Island USA's spin-off Aftersun and is set to grace American screens again in the upcoming series of The Traitors US. 

She finished in fourth place on Love Island UK season five alongside ex-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard in 2019. 

Her plans to crack America are obvious with the star signing with public relations agency, Align, which specialises in growing careers in the US, earlier this year. 

The Daily Mail understands that Maura chose to sign with Align due to her growing work in the United States, including her upcoming appearance on The Traitors US. 

Maura also recently revealed that she has signed with a major US talent agency, Creative Artist Agency, whose glittering list of clients includes big names like Lady Gaga. 

It was revealed in June that Maura had been replaced as a host on Love Island USA's Aftersun, with her decision to relinquish her role reportedly coming as she was unable to continue due to scheduling conflicts.

But the long-standing Love Island favourite insisted it was not the end of her affiliation with the show and she was named as the host of Love Island Games's new Aftersun a few months later after she impressed bosses on the regular show.

Adding another string to her TV bow, she will battle it out to win a cash prize of $250,000 for her chosen charity after signing up for the second series of The Traitors US - which will air in January. 

And just last month it was reported Maura could be heading for Hollywood stardom after 'impressing industry insiders' with her acting debut in Irish comedy The Spin.

Maura, who plays Rose in the feel-good road movie, received glowing feedback following a film screening. She appears alongside Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt and actor Brencock O'Connor.

After the screening, a source told The Mirror: 'Everyone was talking about Maura and how great she was. She can act and people were impressed. 

'There were a lot of important people from the film in that room and conversations were taking place about what she does next.' 

It was reported the conversations were with big US executives who were eager to find out Maura's plans.

Olivia Attwood

Back in September, Olivia Attwood revealed that she's also plotting to crack Hollywood.

Olivia finished in third place on Love Island season three in 2015 alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes. 

Speaking to Daily Mail, the presenter, 34, said she has 'had offers' from bosses across the pond, and hopes that with the help of her new international fanbase, she could take her career global. 

Olivia was first to join new public relations agency Align, which specialises in growing careers in America - which Maura was signed to after her. 

She is currently the face of surgery-based series The Price Of Perfection and Bad Boyfriends, and earlier this year she jetted to Las Vegas to film series four of Getting Filthy Rich.

The star admitted that even before her shows were launched on Disney+, she had already had plenty of international fans thanks to her stint on Love Island.

She said: 'Love Island is huge in America, the UK one so I feel really lucky there was already quite a large US audience on my Instagram, they are definitely happy to have the shows available, also in Australia as well.

'I'm very happy with my career as it is right now. I mean I've had offers, I'm not looking to jump ship right now, but yes, at some point I'm sure we'll do something over there.'

Recently Olivia has been spotted in the US on numerous occasions for 'secret' work commitments and also attended Heidi Klum's famous annual Halloween bash. She also spent a lot of time out in Miami for Miami Swim Week.

A representative for Olivia told Daily Mail at the time: 'She is going to NYC for Garnier x Halloween and to attend Heidi Klum's annual party.

'It is also for work on a new big exciting project.'
